As a fourth generation of Akard's, I am proud to be serving the Bristol area in the funeral service business. My association with Akard Funeral Home began 28 years ago. I miss my mother tremendously, but through it all was glad that the Akard family was there to help our family through this difficult time. However, it was the Akard funeral home who was happy to let the people know that something terrible had happened.

Robert left Georgia at the age of 28 after attending Augusta Community college graduating as a heavy equipment mechanic. He also worked as a chauffeur, and in his spare time he love outdoor sports. He passed peacefully in the presence of his family at Bürgerhospital on December 12, 2022.
